Day 6 - Jeff Doby 's headache seem to be getting worse. He spent most of yesterday in the bed. I kinda wonder if I should take him back to the hospital. I really hate seeing him in so much pain. I find myself wanting to give Jeff an herbal remedy for the headaches, but I can't because he is taking so many prescriptions for his head and heart.

Physically, Jeff is doing wonderful. He is walking, talking, and getting stronger every day. The physical therapist thinks Jeff is making super progress (I do too). If that darn headache would go away, I think Jeff would be screaming to go back to work soon. He still needs work on the left side, especially with his left hand, Jeff is moving all of his fingers now. He still can only move his big toe on his left foot, but it doesn't seem to interfere with him walking. I think all the hiking to waterfalls is the reason his muscles were so strong. We raised enough money to pay Jeff's rent, big thank you to those who donated money to Jeff's Medical Fund. Even with insurance, Jeff has tons of other medical expenses and bills pilling up. I don't really see how a non-working person could use their insurance with the co-pays, 20% for this and 20% for that.... walkers, blood pressure machines, sugar machine, bedside potty (which transforms to fit over the toilet to provide handles now that he can walk)... and the list goes on and on.

Haley, Jeff's daughter, is going to spend the weekend with us. She is going to help me keep and eye on Jeff while I do some of the much need yard work. It has been 2 weeks today since the heart cath that gave him 2 strokes.
